Hosur Bus Stand:
HOSUR: The DMK Government has always taken special interest in developing Hosur, Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said here on Sunday. Inaugurating the new bus stand, he said soon after the DMK came to power in 2006, it had announced to build 53 bus stands in town panchayats and municipalities across the State. The Hosur bus stand was the 25th one. The construction of the other bus stands would be finished in another two months.The Hosur Municipality would get Rs. 1.20 crore as revenue a year from the new bus stand. This would enable the municipality to become self-reliant, Mr. Stalin added.
Under the Hogenakkal Drinking Water and Flurosis Mitigation Scheme, Hosur region consisting of Denkanikottai, Thali and Shoolagiri would get benefitted. Among the total allocation for the scheme, works worth Rs. 420 crore were being carried out in this region, he said Mr. Stalin distributed welfare assistance to 1,999 beneficiaries to the tune of Rs. 10.93 crore.
